Orders With Accessories Only
If your order contains only accessories and no items requiring shipment to an FFL, the entire order will be shipped to your shipping address, except for specific state/city restrictions (see below).
Orders With Both Accessories and Firearms
If your order is mixed in that it contains non-FFL accessories and items requiring shipment to an FFL, your entire order will be shipped to an FFL of your choosing. It cannot be split and have the non-FFL items shipped to you and the FFL items shipped to an FFL. GL Consulting/Dakota Firearms will require your chosen FFL to email us a copy of their license, and your order will not be shipped until receipt of the license. Firearms will only be shipped to FFLs in the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii, and will not be shipped to U.S. territories. It is the customer’s responsibility to follow all Federal, State and Local laws on all products shipped. Make sure the Shipping Name & Address fields have valid FFL Name & Address information for your chosen FFL. Orders will be delayed if this is not correct. All firearms will be shipped UPS Next Day Air. If you need to choose an FFL, click here.
Orders With Firearms Only
If your order contains only items requiring shipment to an FFL, your entire order will be shipped to an FFL of your choosing. Refused Shipments
Some shipping carriers are now charging $50 for refused shipments, The customer will be held responsible for this fee. Carriers are charging us $20 for change of addresses so if you change your shipping address after a package is shipped there is a $20 fee.
State/City Specific Shipping Requirements
Massachusetts Customers: If you have a C&R License, and FID (Firearms Identification Card) or an LTC (License to Carry Card) ammunition can be shipped directly to you. If you have none of these documents, ammunition must be shipped to an FFL dealer in Massachusetts. Residents must send us a copy of their C&R license, FID or LTC for shipments of ammunition.
Illinois Customers: Residents must send us a copy of your FOID card for shipments of ammunition.
Chicago Customers: Ammunition can only be shipped to FFLs.
California Customers: Ammunition can be shipped to FFL dealers, active-duty law enforcement and FFL dealers with a current Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Department of Justice pursuant to Section 26710. FFL dealers must send us a current Certificate of Eligibility before ammunition can be shipped.
Connecticut Customers: To ship ammunition we require a copy of a CT issued ID and one of the following 1) Permit to carry pistols or revolvers, 2) Valid eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver, 3) Valid long gun eligibility certificate or a valid ammunition certificate. These must be current.
New York City Customers: No rifle or shotgun ammunition can be shipped to New York City without a copy of your Rifle and Shotgun permit, and a certificate of registration showing the caliber of the firearm. No handgun ammunition can be shipped to New York City.
Washington DC Customers: Ammunition can only be shipped to FFLs.
Alaska and Hawaii Customers: No ammunition can be shipped to Alaska or Hawaii.
Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives damaged, it is your responsibility to report this to the shipping company, please do not refuse the shipment as you may incur a “refused order” fee. You must also retain the shipping container and packing material for the shipper’s inspection. By not promptly reporting the damage or loss to the shipping company, then you have accepted the shipment “as is” without further recourse.
Shipments of Ammunition
All ammunition will be shipped via UPS Ground because of weight. Be sure you have a physical shipping address on your order as UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box.
