How To Purchase Firearms

GL Consulting, LLC (dba “Dakota Firearms”) only sells firearms in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws. Federal Law mandates us to transfer firearms to retailers or individuals with a valid and current Federal Firearms License (FFL).

GL Consulting is a class 01 FFL. This means we only deal with firearms and non-NFA accessories. So, suppressors and other NFA items will not be handled by GL Consulting.

Please put the Receiving Dealer’s/FFL Licensed Individual’s contact info into the “Ship To Address”. That will help speed up the process. If you do not know which dealer to send your firearm to, then please use our FFL Listing By State to locate and choose your FFL.

THE PURCHASER MUST BE THE RECIPIENT OF THE FIREARM!! NO EXCEPTIONS.

Here is an easy check list of actions that you must take to complete any firearms purchase:

  • Verify that the firearm or accessory you wish to purchase from GL Consulting, LLC meets the laws of your state, county, or city.

You can follow this link to determine firearm and accessory restrictions by state.

  • Find an FFL holder near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you. This can be your local Gun Shop, Pawn Shop, Gun Range or any other retail location that holds a current FFL and will help you with your transaction, using the link above.
  • Contact your FFL and tell them you would like to transfer a firearm from GL Consulting, LLC (dba Dakota Firearms, LLC). The transfer of the firearm is between you and the FFL holder. You must abide by their procedures especially when it comes to following Federal, State and Local laws.

You must confirm the transfer with your local FFL holder. They will most likely charge a transfer fee so please ask them how much they charge.

  • Once your FFL holder receives your firearm, you will need to pick it up. Upon arrival at your FFL holder, inspect your firearm to make certain that everything is acceptable before filling out the necessary paperwork.
  • If you have questions about the FFL swap process, or about the firearm specifically, please contact us at 610-340-2754 or 610-340-2755.
